The combination of kiwis and ears may be up for debate, but there is no denying the Kiwi Ears Aventus has marketable highlights. Starting from the top, the build quality is sufficient for everyday use. Its maneuverability with collapsing and swiveling functions, along with its hard-shell carrying case, make the headset more mobile. I appreciate the cables provided for both 3.5mm and USB Type-C inputs. In terms of sound quality, Kiwi Ears Aventus is a bit more nuanced. For one, all the qualities fit the popular V-shaped sound profile. It was boosted in the bass region with a lesser midrange and a bright treble. This resulting balance was still darker than I would like. Other aspects like soundstaging and layering of the whole output were fine. In terms of wireless capabilities, the headphones provided a long battery life and strong wireless range. Its active noise cancellation abilities were capable, working as you might expect, but not necessarily removing all background noises. The microphone quality was also good, maintaining clarity even in challenging situations. However, there are two critical issues to be aware of. For one, the headphones can be improved for their extended listening comfort. Even with its plush ears, the poor ventilation and the heavy feeling headset were apparent. Secondly, the RGB LED lights on the side are useless to anyone wearing them, and negatively affect the battery life so much that they should be removed. Overall, Kiwi Ears Aventus are solid given its capabilities and accessories at $90 USD, but there are still areas Kiwi Ears can improve upon.
