The MechLands AULA F99 Pro is a well-tuned keyboard. The combination of the flex-cut PCB and five layers of sound-dampening materials creates a pleasant typing experience with a creamy, clacky, and marbly sound. The buyer has five color choices, with two being side-printed keycaps. The switch type is locked to the keycap printing design, but they can be modified as the keyboard is hot-swappable. Those who enjoy using a number pad will appreciate the F99 Pro's design, since this is a 96% keyboard. The option to connect through Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, or USB Type-C allows the user to adjust to their preference and the flexibility to adapt when their device changes. In Bluetooth mode, the user can connect up to three devices and quickly switch between them. The AULA F99 Pro can operate wirelessly for over 54 hours according to my tests thanks to the 8000mAh battery, but this will depend on LED settings. The RGB LED lights are at a comfortable brightness with plenty of preset patterns to choose from. However, there are some downsides to the F99 Pro. The first is that the keyboard is difficult to open, which may concern those who like to make any internal adjustments. The second is the key assignment page in the software is incredibly tedious to use when large amounts of changes are desired. Lastly, the frame is made of plastic, which reduces the quality of the product. Overall, the MechLands AULA F99 Pro is a strong out-of-the-box keyboard. It has drawbacks when it comes to enabling physical and software modifications, but comes in at a competitive price of $86 to $90 USD, with the side printed keycaps being more expensive.
