Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 is in the spotlight. Just a bit of background information; higher capacity drives tend to perform a little better in these tests. Drives like the OCZ Vector 150 has a big advantage, because it does not compress data on the fly, In this particular benchmark, the ability of a controller and flash memory to deliver high IOPS will provide huge benefits to the score as well. As you can see in our graphs above, the OCZ Vector 150 240GB performed very well, as expected. OCZ rates the Vector 150 to be capable of delivering 95,000 IOPS, whereas the Vertex 460 is rated at 90,000 IOPS. As such, the Vector 150 is generally a little bit above the Vertex 460 in every test, albeit not by much. Compared to the original Vector, the numbers are lower by about a hair in most tests. That said, the OCZ Vector 150 240GB is still one of the fastest drive to hit the charts on Crystal Disk Mark.
