Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 is in the spotlight. Just a bit of background information; higher capacity drives tend to perform a little better in these tests. Drives like the OCZ Vertex 460 has a big advantage, because it does not compress data on the fly, In this particular benchmark, the ability of a controller and flash memory to deliver high IOPS will provide huge benefits to the score as well. As you can see in our graphs above, the OCZ Vertex 460 240GB performed very well, as expected. OCZ rates the Vertex 460 to be capable of delivering 90,000 IOPS, whereas the Vector 150 is rated at 95,000 IOPS. As such, the Vertex 460 is generally a little bit below the Vector 150 in every test, albeit not by much. Compared to the Vertex 450, the numbers are really close. With that in mind, the OCZ Vertex 460 240GB is among the fastest drives to hit the charts on Crystal Disk Mark.
