About HD Tune Pro 5.70

HD Tune Pro is a hard disk / SSD utility with many functions. It can be used to measure the drive's performance, scan for errors, check the health status (S.M.A.R.T.), securely erase all data and much more.

Unfortunately, HD Tune does not generate any fancy independent graph outputs, so I just took a screenshot of the program. Aside from a drop at the beginning, the Patriot P400 1TB throughput remained mostly flat on average. The access time was slower than what I would expect at 0.045ms. The average sequential read of 2771MB/s was faster than the XPG Atom 50 1TB at 2654.3MB/s and Crucial P5 Plus 1TB at 2018.0MB/s, both of these being budget drives. The P400 1TB was also faster than the WD_BLACK SN850 NVMe SSD 1TB, Gammix S70 Blade 1TB, and the Kingston KC3000 1TB, which scored 2366.0MB/s, 2662.4MB/s, and 2581.8MB/s respectively. It is unfortunate that HD Tune is not the most representative test for solid state drives, as this is the first test where the Patriot P400 1TB really shone on top.
