Like UL's PCMark 8 benchmarking suite, 3DMark is yet another favorite among enthusiasts and reviewers alike. In fact, it has been part of the APH Networks' battery of standard benchmarks since the very beginning. The latest iteration of 3DMark is available in a series of presets. We included Fire Strike Extreme, Sky Diver, Cloud Gate, and Ice Storm Extreme; each in decreasing order of GPU dependency for our RAM tests. To give our test platform a little more comprehensive results, I enabled the Extreme option in our tests, where possible. As you can see in our graphs above, the DDR4-3000 Patriot Viper LED PC4-24000 2x8GB remained generally consistent with the pack. Bandwidth played a small role here.
