SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro Review

With the Winter Olympics now finished, the one thing I realized how much I missed was international hockey featuring the best players available. Even this has some caveats, as there is no team representing Russia due to the current events in the world, but even still it is amazing to see the top players against each other representing their nation. I hope we get more international tournaments in the future, such as the World Cup of Hockey, but only if it involves players from around the world and not just those in the NHL. The games are much faster than without elite NHL players, but there are also notable differences between each team. For one, there are the obvious powerhouse nations like Canada, United States, Sweden, and Finland, whose rosters are filled with high caliber skilled players. However, due to the difference in skilled players, other teams rely on playing a set of systems well instead of solely through star power. This team interdependence and synergy can lead to better performances than expected. I will always cheer for Canada, but I was impressed by some underdog nations, as most games had a competitive nature. Today, we have the SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro, which is the latest wireless over-ear headphones in the company's lineup. This company might not be a powerhouse name in the industry, but we have seen solid products across their offerings. How does today's Cove Pro stack up, and can it compete with the best? Let us read on to find out!

Today's review unit of the SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro came from a nearby Amazon's distribution center in Rocky View County, Alberta. Arriving at our APH Networks location in Calgary, Alberta, Canada through Amazon shipping, this corrugated cardboard box was delivered in excellent condition. There are no bumps or bruises on the outside to be concerned about, even with the lack of any packing material inside.

The SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro retail box is a bit different from previous products. It does share the same white theme, but instead of using an image of the product, we just have an outline of the headphones inside. The company logo is on the top left corner, while the product name is on the bottom right. On the bottom right corner, there are some specifications to show this product supports high resolution audio for both wired and wireless operation, as well as LDAC over Bluetooth.

Before we continue, I have grabbed the specifications from the manufacturer's website for your reading pleasure:

What's in the Box
SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro Headphones × 1

Out of the box, the SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro is packaged snugly inside with padding to prevent damage. The only accessory included with the headphones is a short USB Type-C to Type-A charging cable. SOUNDPEATS does not include a cable for wired audio listening, as they specify the included cable is only for charging. Given it has a high-resolution audio label, SOUNDPEATS should have included the cable if this was an intended use case. Otherwise, there is also a small user manual and application guide to help users get started with using the Cove Pro. Finally, some stickers are included for fun.
