I am unsure what caused it, but recently, there has been a lot of hype around Pokémon cards. Whenever the new products are released, they are sold out instantly, and thousands of people queue up online the moment the stores restock. While I am not much of a Pokémon card fan, I have been exposed to the world of trading card games ever since I was young. One of the first games I played was Yu-Gi-Oh. I did not know much back then, so I just put random cards together to make a deck and hoped it was good. It is very similar to taking a bunch of car parts and gluing them together and hoping it runs smoothly. After trying a few other trading card games, I quickly realized how expensive these colorful pieces of cardboard were, and promised myself to never fall into that trap. That is until a friend showed me the One Piece trading card game, and told me I can just play his deck. There was no financial commitment, and it was just for fun. Just like a drug, all it took was one try. It started with One Piece, then someone showed me Magic: The Gathering, and finally back to the roots, Yu-Gi-Oh. Suddenly, my bank account was looking real empty. The one thing saving me is I play base rarity cards. In every trading card game, there is the base version of the cards, but they also have fancier and more shiny versions of the same card. In terms of gameplay, they are functionally the exact same, and the only difference is the art. The players who max out their deck with these fancy version like to cope and say it makes them play better, but we all know the truth. One thing I will acknowledge though, is sometimes it would feel nice to know my deck is very shiny and expensive. It does not take away from the game just because the cards are nicer; in fact, it only adds to the experience. It is just like how the SoundPEATS PearlClip Pro adds the dimension of fashion to the functionality of earbuds. The PearlClip Pro are wireless Bluetooth open ear earbuds that use a clipping mechanism to stay in place rather than the usual hook. This gives them an earring-like appearance when worn. Will the PearlClip Pro be successful in adding style to the users fit while maintaining the functionalities of wireless earbuds? The answers will reveal themselves in the next few pages!

Packaged inside a brown box, the SoundPEATS PearlClip Pro was successfully delivered to our office in Calgary, Alberta, Canada from Amazon's warehouses. The product packaging is in great condition with no noticeable damage.

The packaging of the PearlClip Pro is very minimalistic. Starting at the top left corner, there is a silver square with a cutout in the center of the SoundPEATS logo. At the center is a large picture of the PearlClip Pro printed on top of an enlarged image of the SoundPEATS Logo. At the bottom right corner, the product name is printed in a glossy silver text. On the side and back of the box are specifications for the PearlClip Pro.

Pulling from the manufacturer's website, we have the following specifications:

Upon lifting the cover and opening the box, the PearlClip Pro sat at the center of a plastic tray inside the charging case. The case was wrapped in a transparent plastic film to protect it from scratches. Lifting the tray, I found two cardboard housings with the bottom one having a USB cable symbol to notify me where the 18.5cm USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable was hiding. I thought for a moment this was all there was in the package, but then I noticed an envelope on the back side of the upper half of the box. Inside, there was the app guide, user manual, and a set of stickers. I am not much of a sticker person, but I can appreciate the really nice stickers SoundPEATS included. Although it is irrelevant to the quality of the product, these stickers were the highlight for me during the unboxing.
