The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX could be seen as the little brother to the Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX. Regardless, the Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX is truly an excellent headset. The audio quality for the Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX is adequate, having a slightly more emphasized treble and bass on Turtle Beach’s signature profile. This balance was adequate for gaming scenarios, and I had no issues with pinpointing enemy positions. The several improvements since the Stealth 600 Gen 2 have made this new variation quite promising. The plastic build is good, having no creaking issues when twisting and turning. The headband can be adjusted to fit comfortably. The cushioning all around felt nice and soft, while feeling quite breathable. Upon unpacking, the headset was ready to go. The setup process was simple and straightforward. Wireless capabilities and battery life were two categories that absolutely astounded me. Sporting a tested battery life of 108 hours and 13 minutes at 50% volume with a consistent wireless connection in my tests was simply amazing. When it came to music, the soundstaging and layering has room for improvement. The microphone was adequate, but did capture quite a bit of background noise. My voice was left intact and natural enough. At a price of $130 for the Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX, this is a great midrange headset for any gamer looking for some wireless freedom. The quality matches this price range, if not even a small step above this price bracket based on my usage experience. Overall, the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX is a nice and comfortable gaming headset with battery life that will surprise you.
