Western Digital Black NVMe SSD 1TB Review (Page 11 of 11)

Page 11 - Conclusion

While there is -- thankfully -- little relationship between a PDF file and a pedophile, the Western Digital Black NVMe SSD 1TB has one big similarity between it and the Western Digital Black hard drive I reviewed three years ago. In the WD6001FZWX review, I said "the latest flagship consumer drive from Western Digital is seriously fast for a mechanical hard drive" and it was "delivered with class-leading performance for power desktop users". Today, I am going to make a similar declaration with the Black NVMe SSD: Delivered with class-leading performance for power users, the latest flagship solid state drive from Western Digital is seriously fast; bar none. Not only did the Western Digital Black NVMe SSD 1TB either dominated or scored near the top of almost every benchmark we have thrown against it here at APH Networks, this 1TB SSD is also big in capacity and relatively power efficient at the same time. With a 5-year warranty and a whopping 600TBW write endurance, the Black NVMe SSD is something that you can be confident in storing your data in your PC for years to come. There are only a few minor downsides to the Black NVMe 1TB. Namely, it got held back in some 4K workloads, and there is a little performance gap in its midrange transfer size throughput against the best. I doubt you will seriously notice these in day-to-day use, however. For about $260 at press time, the Western Digital Black NVMe SSD 1TB is very reasonably priced for being one of the best storage products in the market today.

Western Digital provided this product to APH Networks for the purpose of evaluation.
