Nintendo Will Sell OLED Switch Dock Separately

From PC Mag: If you like the look of the new OLED Switch dock, but don't want to shell out $350 for a new Switch, Nintendo is happy to sell you the dock separately.

As Digitaltrends reports, Nintendo has confirmed it will be offering the new dock separately via its online store in either black or white. The dock is backwards compatible with the existing Switch model, so you can use the new one and keep your existing dock as a backup charging station.

Switch owners may be tempted to upgrade simply for the new look, with this dock having rounded corners. However, the biggest draw is likely to be the wired LAN port offering a more stable, and potentially faster internet connection to your console.

Nintendo also confirmed it will not be including any cables with the dock, so you won't get a HDMI cable or AC adapter included. It's also going to be exclusive to Nintendo's own store, meaning you won't find the dock on Amazon. As for the price, that has yet to be revealed and with the OLED Switch not launching until Oct. 8, Nintendo has a few months yet to decide what to charge for the accessory.
