1MORE SonoFlow Pro Review (Page 4 of 4)

Page 4 - Conclusion

With the SonoFlow Pro disappeared off the internet and the mystery still unresolved at the time of writing this review, are these headphones legit anyway should it ever reappear on the scene? To measure the legitimacy of these headphones, let us answer the three questions I used to evaluate the vanilla SonoFlow: Does it sound good? Does its active noise canceling actually work? How is the build quality? Starting with the sound, I would say the 1MORE SonoFlow Pro is appropriate for its class. It is bass-boosted, characteristic of ANC headphones, with acceptable overall sound quality that would neither impress nor disappoint. Improvements compared to the regular version include tighter bass, more prominent midrange and treble, and improved soundstaging. In terms of active noise cancellation, the SonoFlow Pro was improved compared to the SonoFlow, delivering commendable ANC in the real world suitable for public transit and airplanes. There was also good passive noise blocking with minimal sound leakage. Build quality-wise, the SonoFlow Pro features a clean appearance and feels great with its internal steel frame and better leather. I also like its commonsense controls with quality buttons, light 246g weight, and reasonable clamp pressure. I also like how the SonoFlow Pro is collapsible to a flat form and fits inside a nice included zipper case for easy traveling. In addition to all these, the 1MORE SonoFlow Pro features awesome battery life, which I tested to be just over 60 hours with ANC on, fast charging via USB Type-C, LDAC support for Android devices, and excellent and consistent wireless range. For areas of improvement, I will start with the microphone. It was a bit of a mixed bag -- it sounded clear and worked well in windy conditions, but voices came through sibilant and unnatural. The midrange and treble, while more prominent, is also harsher and less clean compared to the original. The soundstage is improved, but still far from being wide. Lastly, having a 3.5mm input jack makes more sense than the current 2.5mm. For an expected price of $80, the 1MORE SonoFlow Pro, like the original SonoFlow, offers a lot of bang for the buck. If you are looking for a comfortable, good looking, and well-built active noise canceling headphones for traveling, the 1MORE SonoFlow Pro is a respectable choice -- if you can buy one.
