About ATTO Disk Benchmark

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

Following up next is our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is one of my favorite benchmarks for quite a while. Ever since we have started using it in my network attached storage reviews a few years ago, it has been integral to our battery of storage performance evaluations here at APH Networks -- mainly due to its accuracy, and thorough testing in accordance to varying transfer sizes. As you can see on our graphs above, its read performance greatly exceeds its write performance; peaking at 200.324 MB/s and 93.694 MB/s, respectively. In other words, ADATA's internal testing claims are generally accurate -- the company rates it at 200MB/s read and 100MB/s write. If you look closely at the curves above, the ADATA DashDrive Elite UE700 64GB is actually even more impressive than these numbers suggest. Not only is the DashDrive Elite the fastest drive we have tested here at APH Networks in terms of peak write performance, it is actually significantly better than the Patriot Supersonic Magnum and Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 64GB across the entire curve. The UE700 delivers significantly better small file write speed than the competition, which will make quite a difference in the real world shall the situation arise. In terms of read speed, it did not peak as high as the heavyweights from Patriot and Kingston, but again, it has a desirable performance curve. Its small file read speed is bested only by the DataTraveler HyperX, but other than that, it is unmatched by any other tested USB device on our charts today.
