ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi Review (Page 12 of 12)

Page 12 - Conclusion

How does the ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi hold up with its smaller size? I would say this packs a large punch in a small package. For starters, there is a lot to say about this mini-ITX board. All components and headers on the Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi are placed in appropriate areas that are easy to access. There are enough fan control headers for a motherboard of this size. The two PCIe 4.0-based NVMe slots are ready for some fast SSDs. I like how we also have two USB Type-C ports at the back. Upon firing up the system, the ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi has a very user-friendly BIOS that provides many options for configuration. The amount of different voltage options available to change on this motherboard is impressive, considering you can only overclock memory with the B660 chipset. The board utilizes a good amount of passive cooling heatsinks, which managed to keep the board at a reasonable temperature when put under heavy load. The ROG SupremeFX 7.1 channel high-definition audio codec gave solid performance in our frequency analysis test. The built-in 2x2 wireless card that supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 is complemented by a 2.5G Ethernet port to meet your wired and wireless communication needs. The motherboard also performed within expectations in our benchmark tests. Finally, the whole unit is stylish with plenty of markings engraved on it for users to look at through a tempered glass side panel. The ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi can be found for about $250 as of press time, which is some cash. But if you are looking for a real gaming motherboard in a compact size, the ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi holds its ground with solid build quality, well-designed layout, and strong performance.

The ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi is a solidly built motherboard running on a B660 chipset that can perform well for users looking for a new mini-ITX build.
