In PCMark05 Professional, the Asus P5E3-Deluxe again outperformed the P5K-Deluxe (DDR2) and P5K3-Deluxe (DDR3) consistently in all tests. The biggest difference over its P35 counterpart is primarily in the memory section; in which we've seen much better utilization of DDR3 with the X38 chipset throughout our benchmarks later on as well.

It seems that there's quite a difference regarding HDD performance. Because all the tested motherboards above uses the same SATA2 controller with the ICH9R southbridge, we aren't entirely sure what caused the differences reflected in our charts because our HDTach results are the same.
