The be quiet! Dark Mount Silent Tactile offers several notable advantages. The ARGB lighting, 5-pin hot-swappable switches, full NKRO, translucent legends, and IO Center software provide extensive customization options for dynamic light patterns. Each key’s construction ensures consistent and bright light diffusion, which complements the sleek, black, brushed aluminum top plate. The use of PBT keycaps is also beneficial, as they are highly resistant to wear and tear, helping the Dark Mount maintain its premium appearance over time. The keyboard and its accompanying accessories further add onto the Dark Mount Silent Tactile's capabilities through eight programmable macro keys, quick access to preset lighting options, adjustable typing angles, and cushioned wrist rests. However, there appears to be minor quality control issues. Upon unboxing, I noticed a few small grease marks underneath and between some keys on the top plate which are not easily wiped off. Additionally, due to the Dark Mount Silent Tactile keyboard having many accessories, and no wireless capabilities, it will take up noticeably more desk space than typical full-size keyboards. Of course, the keyboard has the capabilities to remove unnecessary accessories, but you'll be missing out on the premium experience you have paid for. I was able to find this keyboard for approximately $330, which positions the Dark Mount Silent Tactile in a unique market segment. The keyboard is constructed from high-quality materials, and the multimedia dock and numpad features contribute to its high-end price. The Dark Mount covers multiple areas, including ergonomics, ARGB lighting, personal customization, and more. While there are other high-end keyboards that provide a great silent typing experience at a lower price and take less desk space, they do not offer as many additional features as the Dark Mount Silent Tactile.
