I have retested the 34nm OCZ Vertex 2 60GB since my last review, and the results came out to be a bit different -- it appears to be much more accurate this time around though. Of course, the stuff of real interest is how much of a performance is the consumer going to take with the IC die shrink. The G.SKILL Phoenix EVO 115GB came in a hair behind the two Vertex 2s in most tests, but the difference is negligible at best. The classic Vertex 2 did take a slight lead in all tests, but again, not by much. Oh, by the way, yes the HDD was crushed.
