Page 9 - Benchmark: Just Cause 2
Just Cause 2 runs off an updated version of the original game's Avalanche Engine; aptly named Avalanche Engine 2.0. This DirectX 10 game is released on March 23, 2010. Rather than manipulating anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering settings as we have done in majority of our previous benchmarks, we have decided to leave everything at the highest possible setting at 1920x1200. The game also features a trio of in-game benchmarks, so to make our results easily comparable against yours, we have decided to put them through the tests rather than using custom runs. The most demanding benchmark is Concrete Jungle -- with frame rates dropping into the teens at its minimum, none of the cards we tested were capable of playing Just Cause 2 maxed out at 1920x1200. However, reducing the AA and AF will retain visually appealing graphics at playable frame rates.
