Far Cry 2 is the oldest game in our array of benchmarks. Released on October 21, 2008, Far Cry 2 uses a heavily modified version of the Dunia Engine with Havok Physics. This DirectX 10 game comes with an excellent benchmark utility that quite well reflects in-game performance, so again, we decided to use it to obtain our results for our graphs above. At 1920x1200 and everything maxed out, the Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 1GB OC was on average 10% slower than its bigger brother, while pulling a mean of 2.5 fps over the reference 6850.
