In this day and age, personal privacy and security are essential almost anyone who uses a computer. Not only do you want your files on your computer to be safe, but you also want to keep your personal drives protected as well. Kingston has created a product perfect for this with the IronKey Keypad 200 64GB. The build quality is quite good, having used both plastic and metal to build a rigid flash drive. This durability aids in supporting the theme of security. This is where this drive truly shines. The keypad can be used to set up user and admin PINs to allow for protection of data with hardware access. There are emergency procedures in place for attempted hacks into the flash drive too. With read and write speeds exceeding its rated 145MB/s and 115MB/s respectively, the IronKey Keypad 200 64GB is a decent performer when it comes to data transfer. In our testing, the IronKey Keypad 200 64GB outputted admirable results given the design of a hardware encrypted flash drive. I generally did not have any issues with the IronKey Keypad 200 64GB itself. Rather, I have frustrations with respect to the support material provided. The back of the box contains information regarding the setup that is not the easiest to follow. Upon going to the site for clarity, the videos provided are convoluted and repeats previously stated information. With that said, at a price of $165 USD at press time, this is a lot of cash for 64GB of storage. This price mostly comes from the security it provides for its user. If this is something essential in your flash drives, the Kingston IronKey Keypad 200 64GB is definitely a great option to keep your sensitive data safe.
