About AIDA64 Engineer

AIDA64 Engineer has a hardware detection engine unrivaled in its class. It provides detailed information about installed software and offers diagnostic functions and support for overclocking. As it is monitoring sensors in real time, it can gather accurate voltage, temperature and fan speed readings, while its diagnostic functions help detect and prevent hardware issues. It also offers a couple of benchmarks for measuring the performance of individual hardware components or the whole system. It is compatible with all 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions, including Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022.

AIDA64 Engineer is first on our benchmarks, since we run these tests alphabetically. AIDA64 Engineer version 6.92.6600, the latest release at press time, can be downloaded from our Downloads page. AIDA64 Engineer is a synthetic benchmark, which provides a good overview of what performance will be in real life, although it may not precisely reflect how long it will take to transfer huge amounts of photos.

The Kingston XS1000 2TB performed well for its class as a USB 3.2 Gen 2 drive. Its results compared quite similarly to the Crucial X9 Pro and X8, as they all hovered around the 900MB/s mark. As for its average access time, it lagged slightly behind the X9 Pro, but still within expectations. The XS1000 performed as well as one would expect as far as the AIDA64 benchmarks are concerned.
