Page 5 - Benchmark: Crystal Disk Mark
About Crystal Disk Mark
- Measure sequential reads/writes speed
- Measure random 512KB, 4KB, 4KB (Queue Depth=32) reads/writes speed
- Select test data (Random, 0Fill, 1Fill)

The LaCie Mobile SSD 500GB continued to dominate as we move into our Crystal Disk Mark sequential read and write results. Once again, it crushed the USB flash drives, but this is to be expected given they are different performance classes. Its sequential read and write results generally reflect what we have seen in the past two pages. At 561.3MB/s sequential read, this figure was very close to the advertised read speed. However, at 496.3MB/s sequential write, it fell a bit short this time around. As we move into the 4KiB Q8T8, 4KiB Q32T1, and Q1T1 territories, which require high input/out operations per second or IOPS, the LaCie Mobile SSD 500GB continued to blow all the other tested USB flash drives out of the water. Traditionally, this has always been a weak point for USB flash drives and a strong point for solid state drives as we can see here.
