About ATTO Disk Benchmark

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

Following up next are our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is an often-quoted benchmark because it is easy to use and accurate. ATTO uses easily compressible data, so compression-heavy controllers will perform very well here. As manufacturer peak read and write performance ratings are usually achievable using ATTO, whether a drive lives up to its marketing claims or not can be validated by this program. Lexar claims the NM710 1TB to have a maximum read speed of 5000 MB/s and a maximum write speed of 4500 MB/s. The NM710 1TB did not quite reach these figures when it came to the write speed, but came somewhat close with a tested maximum write speed of 4150 MB/s. The NM710 1TB also came close its rated read speed of 5000 MB/s by measuring a maximum read speed of 4740 MB/s. Taking a closer look below the curve, it was comparable to the the Corsair MP600 Core XT 2TB and Corsair P3 Plus 1TB with read and write speeds up to around 32KB to 64KB. The ramp-up write and read speeds was quite fast at small to moderate file sizes, specifically from 0.5KB to 64KB, but slower than the Netac NV7000-t 1TB, which delivered exceptional results in this range.
