Crystal Disk Mark 3.0 is in the spotlight. Just a bit of background information; higher capacity drives tend to perform a little better in these tests. The ability of a controller and flash memory to deliver high IOPS will provide huge benefits to the score as well. SanDisk actually referenced Crystal Disk Mark quite frequently on their listed specifications in the press kit, so this is an interesting benchmark to perform. As you can see in our charts above, the Extreme II 240GB continues to be an extremely competitive drive. It took top spot for sequential and 4K QD32 read, and held its own for the rest of the tests. Again, it did not crack any records, but this is still one of the faster drives we have tested here at APH Networks. I will let you read the data for yourself.
