About ATTO Disk Benchmark

The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

Following up next are our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is an often-quoted benchmark because it is easy to use and accurate. For the most part, it is a favorite among reviewers and I have grown to embrace it as much as the next for the last little while. ATTO uses easily compressible data, so compression-heavy controllers will perform very well here; as far as the Phison E12 controller is concerned -- well, here are our results. As manufacturer peak read and write performance ratings are usually achieved using ATTO, whether a drive lives up to its marketing claims or not can be validated by this program. Seagate claims the FireCuda 510 1TB's maximum read and maximum write are pinned at 3450MB/s and 3200MB/s, respectively. The tested results were quite close to the advertised figures. It peaked at 3299.868MB/s read and 3231.778MB/s write. Under the curve, its write speed was significantly faster than the Western Digital Black SN750 NVMe SSD 1TB until 64K, but fell behind the Patriot VPN100 512GB until the same transfer size. The Seagate FireCuda 510 1TB had a significantly higher peak write compared to the VPN100 though. In the read test, the Seagate FireCuda 510 1TB also had faster ramp up compared to the Black SN750 1TB until 512K, but the WD SSD had slightly higher peak read. The Patriot Viper VPN100 512GB was slightly ahead of the FireCuda 510 almost across the entire range.
