The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

As you have read before, ATTO Disk Benchmark is one of our favorites in terms of testing anything from SSDs to network attached storage systems; this has seen its share of everything. So it is only naturally we throw the Silicon Power Jewel J80 32GB into the ring to see how it fares with this test. Looking at the write results, the Jewel J80 32GB actually surprises us with a peak performance of 71.487MB/s. While this does not sound like a large number, it handily beats out recent Silicon Power drives like the Blaze B05 64GB and the Marvel M70 64GB. Flipping to the read tests is a different story, however. While its peak read speed of 117.993MB/s is obviously higher than its write speed, it is quite a bit farther behind all of the other USB 3.0 drives we have received. Only the Mobile X31 is close to the Jewel J80, which is not too surprising considering what we have seen in the AIDA64 benchmark. While I do not expect the Silicon Power Jewel J80 32GB to be designed for speed, this kind of showing is disappointing.
