The ASUS ProArt B660-Creator D4 is a fancy looking motherboard loaded with features for content creators. Can one tell the difference with all it has to offer? With this board humming along next to me in my newly built PC as I write this review, I have to say there is a lot I like about it. To start off, the layout is excellent. Everything is logically placed and exactly where you need it to be for good cable management. ASUS did not skimp on the details either; there are tons of fan control and RGB LED lighting headers in all the right places. I also like how it is loaded with features. There are three NVMe slots with two of them being PCIe 4.0-based for speedy storage, solid connectivity options with lots of USB ports in the back and more support for the front, and even a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C front panel header that can deliver up to 60W of power. Additionally, the Realtek-based integrated audio performed well in our tests, and the dual LAN ports -- one 2.5G and one Gigabit -- will keep up with your networking needs. Once fired up, the ProArt B660-Creator D4 has an excellent American Megatrends-based UEFI BIOS that gives tons of advanced configuration options, even though the B660 chipset does not support CPU overclocking. The board is also well-designed with good passive cooling in key areas and performed as it should from our benchmark results. As an icing on the cake, this is a good-looking motherboard if you plan to put it in a chassis with a tempered glass side panel. For about $240 at press time, the ASUS ProArt B660-Creator D4 is definitely priced on the upper end for a B660 chipset-based unit. But what you will get is a quality product and 3 months subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, which -- if you are going to put that to use as a creator -- is worth $150 by itself.
