ASUS ProArt Z690-Creator WiFi Review (Page 12 of 12)

Page 12 - Conclusion

While a motherboard may not make up the entire computer, the ASUS ProArt Z690-Creator WiFi proved to be an excellent choice for a clean and reliable workstation. From the top, we can see the ProArt Z690-Creator WiFi is an immaculate looking motherboard with a matte black and gold finish. All of the accessories included with the ProArt Z690-Creator WiFi are quite useful, including many of ASUS' additions like the Q-Connector and Q-Latch to name a couple. On the board, we have many PCI Express, M.2, SATA, addressable RGB, and fan connections. I also appreciate the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C with support for USB Power Delivery and Quick Charge 4+. The back I/O is excellent with Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 6E, a bevy of USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and both 10G and 2.5G Ethernet jacks. We also have helpful additions for troubleshooting, including boot LEDs and BIOS Flashback. In its performance, you can see the ProArt Z690-Creator WiFi did not hold users back in any way, allowing the connected components to perform in an expected and stable fashion. Temperatures were kept within check with its passive but beefy heatsinks. Pushing your components to the limits is also made easy, as the UEFI BIOS is intuitive and provides more than enough tweaking options to get more out of your processor and memory. There are still a few small nitpicks here and there, such as making the Q-Latch out of metal or adding back the optical audio out, but these are very minor recommendations. At the time of the review, the ASUS ProArt Z690-Creator WiFi is $480, which is double the price of the previously reviewed ASUS ProArt B660-Creator D4. Even so, the motherboard delivers in providing users with a top-of-the-line experience, making it an excellent option for a clean Z690 motherboard.
