Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P MAX Review (Page 6 of 6)

Page 6 - Conclusion

Did the Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P MAX stand well on its own? I would like to answer this question right away with a simple yes. The NR200P MAX kept many of the best qualities from the MasterBox NR200 and NR200P. This includes the tool-free design for the ventilated side panels, included extra tempered glass side panel, mounting options for various components, and lots of room even for larger graphics cards up to 336mm. The NR200P MAX did a great job building on the NR200P, specifically with the pre-installed liquid cooler and power supply. The modified MasterLiquid ML280 Mirror performed well in our cooling tests while proving to be very quiet in operation. The same can be said for the excellent V850 SFX Gold. I appreciated how easy Cooler Master made it to build into the NR200P MAX. I did not have to worry about cable management as all of them are the right length and were already bundled up neatly. In terms of improvement, a rear mount for exhaust fans would have been good for extra airflow, but users do have the choice to mount some exhaust or intake fans on the bottom if need be. I do also wish that there was a USB Type-C header on the front I/O panel, especially given how common it is becoming in PC cases nowadays. At a retail price of $460, this case does not come cheap. This is $310 more expensive than the standard NR200P. If you were to purchase the components separately, the V850 SFX Gold is $150, a regular MasterLiquid ML280 Mirror is $100, and the PCIe riser cable is $60 at press time. With a little bit of math, we can see the price is the same if you were to purchase the NR200P and all the components separately. The NR200P MAX's cooler does not come with the RGB LED lighting and mirror design of the ML280 Mirror, but given that Cooler Master has pre-installed the power supply and liquid cooler in the case along with neatly bundling all the cables together with the NR200P MAX, you can see where the value is justified.
