About Crystal Disk Mark

- Measure Sequential and Random Performance (Read/Write/Mix)
- Peak/Real World Performance Profile

From: Developer's Page

The Crucial X8 2TB continued to perform exceptionally well as we move into our Crystal Disk Mark sequential read and write results. Once again, it was always at the top or near the top, but this is to be expected given there is an NVMe drive inside. Its sequential read and write results generally reflect what we have seen in the past two pages. At 1050.64MB/s sequential read and 1039.76MB/s sequential write, it was very close to the advertised numbers, which is excellent. As we move into the 4KiB Q8T8, 4KiB Q32T1, and Q1T1 territories, which require high input/output operations per second or IOPS, the Crucial X8 2TB continued to do very well against other external USB solid state drives. The only exception was the Q1T1 read test, where the LaCie Rugged SSD 1TB held a formidable lead over every other drive.
