About ATTO Disk Benchmark
The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.

Following up next is our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is one of my favorite benchmarks for quite a while. Ever since we have started using it in my network attached storage reviews a few years ago, it has been integral to our battery of storage performance evaluations here at APH Networks mainly due to its accuracy and thorough testing in accordance to varying transfer sizes. As you can see in our graphs above, the Crucial X8 2TB's read performance and write performance were both extremely fast; peaking at 1050.114MB/s for read and 1045.004MB/s for write. The tested read and write figures were both right on the advertised speed. Under the curve, the Crucial X8 2TB reached close to maximum performance for everything 256K and above. Both its ramp up speed and peak speed was, once again, considerably faster than any USB flash drive as demonstrated in the posted comparison charts. The ramp up speed of the Crucial X8 2TB was slightly better than its 1TB sibling, but the LaCie Rugged SSD 1TB was still consistently faster.
