Gigabyte G1 Gaming GeForce GTX 960 4GB Review (Page 8 of 13)

Page 8 - Benchmark: GRID 2

GRID 2 is a very popular game for benchmarking. It is developed by Codemasters, and runs off the EGO 3.0 game engine. GRID 2 is definitely a welcomed departure from using first person shooters for testing; this is the only racing game in our standard battery of benchmarks. Released on May 27, 2013, GRID 2 has an excellent custom benchmarking function that actually reflects real life performance quite well, so we decided to give it a shot to obtain our standardized results. Once again, at 1920x1200 and everything maxed out, the Gigabyte G1 Gaming GeForce GTX 960 4GB delivered very playable framerates at maximum settings. The factory overclocked card was 5.0% and 3.3% faster than the stock configured card in the first and second test, respectively. On the other hand, it was 26% and 10.3% faster than the GTX 760 tested, respectively. That said, it was still considerably slower than the GTX 970.
