There has always been very little difference in performance between motherboards -- this is especially held true in the case of Intel's new P55 chipset, since the new PCH does a lot less than its predecessors. What it really boils down to is who has slightly more aggressive default motherboard settings. In our case, I plugged everything into manual mode to make it as fair as possible by eliminating as many of these variables as possible. Our results above show the Gigabyte P55A-UD6 and Asus P7P55D-E Premium to be very close in EVEREST CPU, with the Asus motherboard leading by a slight hair over the Gigabyte in each test.
