Page 11 - Benchmark: Unigine: Heaven v2.5
Unigine's Heaven v2.5 shows users what the company's game engine is capable of. Developed in 2009, one of the biggest features of Unigine is its advanced OpenGL 4.0 and DirectX 11 renderer. This is an excellent benchmark, because there are currently fourteen Unigine licenses used for game development at press time. For our tests, we left it at its maximum settings of 8xAA and 16xAF, using tessellation as its only manipulated variable to measure the respective performance of the tested graphics cards. The average frame rate is shown in our charts above. The AMD Radeon HD 7870 did not post huge gains over its predecessor until we got close to maxing out on the tessellation. Unfortunately, it did not do that well with full on AA and AF, where the NVIDIA card benefited from better performance scaling in this regard.
