The performance similarity trend between the OCZ Agility 3 240GB and OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS 240GB continues to hold in our AIDA64 Extreme Edition disk benchmarks. The line remained at exactly 500MB/s for the linear test suite; in the same way the more value oriented Agility 3 lagged behind the OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS by a small margin in Random Read and Buffered Read. That said, the SF-2281 based SSDs continued to destroy the SF-1222 based SSDs by delivering nearly twice the performance. The only issue here is the OCZ Agility 3's tested latency, despite being very low, is still nearly twice as high as the OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS, and it is something we did not expect. But will you notice a difference in every day usage? I doubt it.
