About ATTO Disk Benchmark
The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Next, we have our usual ATTO read and write tests. ATTO is an often-quoted benchmark because it is easy to use and accurate. For the most part, it is a favorite among reviewers and I have grown to embrace it as much as the next for the last little while. ATTO uses easily compressible data. As manufacturer peak read and write performance ratings are usually achievable using ATTO, whether a device lives up to its marketing claims or not can be validated by this program. As I mentioned previously, Patriot claims a maximum read speed of 420MB/s, and from the results, you can see Patriot cleared this hurdle with a maximum 460.551MB/s on the largest packet size. The read speed curve was a bit strange as we saw larger dips depending on the packet transferred. However, the impressive statistic was the peak write speed at 448.46MB/s. The write performance was clearly a cut above the rest of the pack practically from the beginning. Under the curve, the read speeds were still faster than majority of the drives tested and surpassed everything else at 64KB sizes and larger. Overall, the Patriot Supersonic Rage Pro 512GB's performance was far better than anything else we have tested and this is truly admirable.
