Moving to Crystal Disk Mark 3.0, this is another one of tests which to me are the easiest to produce, and provide numbers in a timely manner, unlike our last benchmark, the PCMark 8 consistency tests. Just a bit of background information; higher capacity drives tend to perform a little better in these tests. The ability of a controller and flash memory to deliver high IOPS will provide huge benefits to the score as well. The Toshiba OCZ TL100 240GB is rated at 85,000 IOPS read and 80,000 IOPS write. Taking a look at the results, in sequential and 512K write and read, the TL100 was in line with the Trion 100, Trion 150, and the UV400. As for 4K write and read, the Trion 100 and TL100 are most similar in results. In the 4K QD32, again we can see the numbers trade blows back and forth when comparing with the other Toshiba OCZ drives in this area, with the TL100 240GB coming out on top for write, while falling behind for read. It should be noted the two Trion SSDs were double the capacity of this one, which could have played a factor in these results. Otherwise, you can see the other results and compare them to previous drives above.
