Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 1GB OC Review (Page 4 of 13)

Page 4 - Benchmark: 3DMark 11

3DMark 11 is available in three presets; separated into their respective categories of Entry, Performance, and Extreme. Entry is run at a resolution of 1024x600, Performance at 1280x720, and Extreme at 1920x1080. Released on December 7, 2010, Futuremark's latest program is more than capable of driving current generation graphics cards to its knees. And it did. It takes advantage of new DirectX 11 features such as tessellation, compute shaders, and multi-threading. As far as the Entry test is concerned, the Gigabyte GTX 560 scored slightly better than a bone stock Radeon HD 6870, but fell a little short of the factory overclocked Gigabyte 6870 SOC. However, once we increased the demand and put the card through 3DMark 11's Performance and Extreme benchmarks, the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 1GB actually ended up behind the reference AMD Radeon HD 6870.
