Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 2GB Review (Page 5 of 13)

Page 5 - Benchmark: Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 runs off the Frostbite 2 engine, developed by EA Digital Illusions CE. It is a DirectX 11 game, released on October 25, 2011. This is an older game, but still pretty relevant with five downloadable content packs -- with "End Game" released on March 12, 2013. We benchmarked our graphics cards on the Operation Swordbreaker level with everything maxed out at 1920x1200; the only manipulated variable is anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering, as reflected on the labels in our graphs above. Since Battlefield 3 does not have built in benchmarking tools for custom timedemos, we ended up playing the same level manually in the same manner repeatedly to obtain our results. As you can see in our graphs above, the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 2GB delivered very respectable performance across the range; do keep in mind the Radeon HD 7870 is a much cheaper video card.
