It is especially important to note that before getting on with interpreting our results, we are doing this cross-platform with an incomparable processor in our results -- meaning that, if you are just taking everything by face value, you are going to get the wrong idea. The Intel Atom D510 on the NC94 and NC96 comes with the motherboard and retails for $110 to $120 at press time; while the NC84 without the processor already commands a price of approximately $140 when writing this review. Of course, the Brisbane core Athlon 64 X2 4400+ isn't anything cutting edge even when it was released, and it has been an eternity in the computer world since it was sold to the general public. Nevertheless, the NC84 handled our low end Athlon processor without any complaints -- and I can assure you anything over $50 from AMD right now will outperform our test configuration results as posted above.
