Page 5 - Benchmark: Battlefield 4
Battlefield 4 runs off the Frostbite 3 engine, developed by EA Digital Illusions CE. It is a DirectX 11 game, released on October 29, 2013. We benchmarked our graphics cards on the Singapore level with everything maxed out at 1920x1200; the only manipulated variable is the anti-aliasing setting, as reflected on the labels in our graphs above. It challenges the graphics card with its advanced depth of field rendering in this level. Since Battlefield 4 does not have built in benchmarking tools for custom timedemos, we ended up playing the same level manually in the same manner repeatedly to obtain our results. As you can see in our graphs above, the Gigabyte G1 Gaming GeForce GTX 970 4GB delivered excellent performance across the board, frame rates are very playable even with everything maxed out. The overclocked G1 Gaming version of the GTX 970 delivered about 5-6% improvement over a generic card.
