Page 7 - Benchmark: Crysis 3
Crysis 3, as its name suggests, is the third installment in the Crysis game series. Based on the CryEngine 3 game engine, it was released on February 19, 2013. This is a DirectX 11 game utilizes some of the latest features of CryEngine 3, such as improved shadows and lighting, vegetation and fog effects, as well as dynamic mapping. Just like the original Crysis, Crysis 3 is particularly tough on PC hardware, especially when you want to have all the effects enabled. With everything maxed out at 1920x1200 and adjusting only AA and AF, both GTX 970 cards produced fairly playable framerates that can be considered to be relatively smooth. Having the factory overclocked Gigabyte G1 Gaming card produced about an extra frame per second on average. When it comes to the question, "But will it run Crysis?" Incredibly, there is a card that does.
